The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Commissioner Ron Davidson and
attendance taken by Julie Mendoza-Morris:

Process for Sergeant Testing
Sergeant Testing Oral Interview Process - TABLED
F. REPORTS:
1. Police Department Report
Recruits are doing well. One candidate did not pass field training
Buckeyes (gas station) in the news - unfortunate - when issues like this
arise it takes time away from officers that are needed elsewhere
2. Fire Department Report
Structure fire Single Family home - luckily came in after the heat wave -
possibility that lightening played a role, still under investigation
2nd day of heatwave FD had a higher call volume of health-related incidents

A MOTION was made by Commissioner Ron Davidson to keep the 1-9-2018 Closed
Session Minutes restricted and retain restriction, and to destroy the recordings,
seconded by Commissioner Kirsten Young. The motion carried with a unanimous
voice vote.
