A. CALL TO ORDER:
I would like to call the Board of Fire and Police Meeting for February 23,
2021 to order.
Pursuant to Section 120/7(e) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, the
continuation of the Governor’s disaster proclamation, and Mayor
Chirico’s executive order determining that in-person public meetings
are not currently practical or prudent because of the Covid-19
pandemic, we are holding this Board of Fire and Police Commission
meeting remotely.
The commissioners and staff participating in tonight’s meeting are all in
different locations in accordance with social distancing guidelines, and
steps have been taken to ensure that the Commissioners can hear one
another and all discussion and testimony. The public has been provided
notice of alternative means of access to the meeting so they are able to
contemporaneously hear all discussion, testimony and votes. All votes
shall be taken by roll call.

Review and approve executive summary closed minutes from July 9, 2019 and July 22,
2019
A motion was made to approve the executive summary closed minutes from July
9, 2019 and July 22, 2019

F. REPORTS:
1. Police Department Report
Feb 11th patrol officer noticed a stolen vehicle that was part of a carjacking
case; 3 individuals were taken into custody
29 graduates from CIT training; goal is for 100% to be certified
House bill was signed yesterday; continue to work on ways to make community
safe
60% PD employees vaccinated
2. Fire Department Report
Structure fire on Feb 15th; fire was contained to the garage and there were no
injuries
63% FD employees vaccinated; 120 out of 200 employees
G. CLOSED SESSION:
