ROLL CALL: Present 3- Shafeek Abubaker, Ronald Davidson, and Mark Wright Absent 2- Mike King, and Kirsten Young C. PUBLIC FORUM: No members from the public attended D. OLD BUSINESS: E. NEW BUSINESS: Review and approve open session minutes from July 26, 2022 Review and approve open session minutes from July 26, 2022 A motion was made by Commissioner Wright and seconded by Commissioner Davidson Aye 3- Abubaker Davidson Wright Absent 2- King Young F. REPORTS: 1. Police Department Report No police status report 2. ACTION ITEMS: Approve the hire of police officer original appointment candidate #2 A motion was made by Commissioner Abubaker and seconded by Commissioner Wright Aye 3- Abubaker Davidson Wright Absent 2- King Young Approve continuing in the process firefighter/paramedic candidate #59 A motion to approve continuing in the process firefighter/paramedic candidate #59 was DENIED by Commissioner Abubaker and seconded by Commissioner Wright. Candidate #59 was removed from the process. Aye 3- Abubaker Davidson Wright Absent 2- King Young Approve continuing in the process police officer original appointment candidate #3 A motion was made by Commissioner Wright and seconded by Commissioner Davidson Aye 3- Abubaker Davidson Wright Absent 2- King Young Approve keeping the March 9, 2021 executive summary closed session minutes restricted and to destroy the tapes A motion for adjournment was made by Commissioner Abubaker and seconded by Commissioner Davidson Aye 3- Abubaker Davidson Wright Absent 2- King Young I.
