Review and approve open session minutes and the closed session minutes from June
27, 2023 and retain restriction
A motion was made by Commissioner Abubaker and seconded by Commissioner
King

1. Police Department Report
Continue to take guns off the street; made a few armed arrests at traffic
stop and domestic violence incident
7/7 arrested man on felony theft and home repair fraud charges
7/11 swearing-in for Charea Reynolds
2. Fire Department Report
27 fires for the year; many due to weather conditions; dry or lightening
related
Averaging about 400 calls above this time last year

A motion was denied by Commissioner King and seconded by Commissioner
Abubaker. Firefighter/paramedic candidate #41 was REMOVED from the process.
