CALL TO ORDER: Present 5- Shafeek Abubaker, Ronald Davidson, Chad Earl, Mike King, and Deana Losurdo B. ROLL CALL: Present 5- Shafeek Abubaker, Ronald Davidson, Chad Earl, Mike King, and Deana Losurdo C. PUBLIC FORUM: Patty Wise and Chuck Baker attended from the public D. OLD BUSINESS: E. NEW BUSINESS: Review and approve the open session minutes and closed session minutes from August 8, 2023 and retain them as restricted A motion was made by Commissioner Abubaker and seconded by Commissioner King Aye 5- Abubaker Davidson Earl King Losurdo F. REPORTS: 1. Police Department Report Arrest at TopGolf parking lot; gun taken off the street Armed robbery 9/9 evening; still under investigation; no current suspects Police Officer interviews Friday 9/15 2. ACTION ITEMS: Approve the recipient of the CAPS Commissioners Award A motion was made by Commissioner King and seconded by Chairman Davidson Aye 5- Abubaker Davidson Earl King Losurdo Approve continuing in the process Police Officer candidate #4 A motion was made by Commissioner King and seconded by Chairman Davidson Aye 5- Abubaker Davidson Earl King Losurdo Approve continuing in the process Police Officer candidate #3 A motion was DENIED by Commissioner King and seconded by Chairman Davidson. Police Officer Candidate #3 was REMOVED from the process. Aye 5- Abubaker Davidson Earl King Losurdo Approve continuing in the process Police Officer candidate #10 A motion was DENIED by Commissioner King and seconded by Chairman Davidson. Police Officer Candidate #10 was REMOVED from the process.
