Eagle Street City of Naperville Naperville, IL 60540 Meeting Minutes Historic Preservation Commission Thursday, March 25, 2021 7:00 PM Held on Zoom due to COVID-19 CITY OF NAPERVILLE PUBLIC MEETINGS UPDATE: Pursuant to Section 120/7(e) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, the continuation of the Governor’s disaster proclamation, and Mayor Chirico’s executive order determining that in-person public meetings are not currently practical or prudent because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are holding this Historic Preservation Commission meeting remotely. Accordingly, the Historic Preservation Commission meeting scheduled for March 25, 2021, will be conducted remotely. The means by which the public may watch, listen, and/or participate in the meeting are described below. TO JOIN A MEETING: The meeting will be conducted using the Zoom Video Conferencing. PUBLIC FORUM: Becky Simon from Naperville Preservation encouraged the HPC to join the Illinois Association of Historic Preservation Commissions. D. OLD BUSINESS: Chairman Peterson asked if there was an update concerning the postcard notification. Kathleen Russell, Planning Services Team, responded that staff has met and discussed the postcard with Naperville’s Communications Team. Russell also noted that staff would like to send out a draft to the HPC once it is available. Consider the Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) for 104 South Wright Street- COA 21-413 Mike and Mariann Soenke, the petitioners and property owners, presented the case. Public Testimony: There was no public testimony. Chairman Peterson thanked the property owners for their presentation and noted support for the COA. Commissioner Urda spoke in support of the COA and noted appreciation for the summary of the request from the property owners. A motion was made by Commissioner Ory and seconded by Commissioner Urda to approve COA 21-413 for consideration of the replacement and change in style of the door on the north side of the residence on the property located at 104 South Wright Street. Approve the minutes of the January 28, 2021, Historic Preservation Commission meeting A motion was made by Commissioner Doyle seconded by Commissioner Ory to approve the meeting minutes of the January 28, 2021, Historic Preservation Commission meeting.
