CALL TO ORDER: Planning, Design & Construction Committee (PDC) Chairman Kennedy called the October 1, 2019 Naperville Riverwalk PDC meeting to order at 7:03 a.m. The meeting was held on the Riverwalk from Martin Avenue to the Grand Pavilion, Naperville, Illinois. B. ROLL CALL: Present: Pam Bartlett (until 8:35); Jeff Friant (until 8:35); Pat Kennedy, PD&C Committee Chairman; Debra Lellbach; Bill Novack; Chuck Papanos (until 8:35); and Geoff Roehll, Riverwalk Commission Chairman Absent: Valla Aguilar, Judy Brodhead, Bobby Carlsen, John Cuff and John Joseph Also Present: Christian Canizal, NCTV; Brian Dusak, ERA (until 8:30); Rick Hitchcock, Former Riverwalk Commission Chairman (until 8:35); Stephanie Penick, Riverwalk Foundation; Carl Peterson, GRWA C. PUBLIC FORUM: No members of the public wished to address the Riverwalk Commission. D. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Approval of Minutes - Pat Kennedy Approve minutes from the September 3, 2019 Riverwalk Planning, Design & Construction Committee meeting. A motion to approve the September 3, 2019 Planning, Design & Construction Committee minutes was made by Novack, seconded by Friant. MOTION CARRIED 2. Master Plan Walk - Pat Kennedy The Riverwalk Commission is in the process of modifying the Development Guidelines and changing the name to the Riverwalk Master Plan. This document will include large and small projects that will guide the development of the Riverwalk in future years. These projects will happen over time as the need and funding are available. Commissioners and others visited sites that are being considered as possible projects and enhancement opportunities. Some of these include the South Extension from Hillside Road to Martin Avenue, a bike lane from Hillside Road to Fredenhagen Park, 430 S. Washington Street, the pavilion City of Naperville Page 1 Printed on 12/12/2019 Riverwalk Planning, Design and Meeting Minutes October 1, 2019 Construction Committee at Fredenhagen Park, the north and south DuPage River shoreline between Main Street and Washington Street, the Eagle Street Gateway and the Grand Pavilion. During the site visits, Commissioners reimagined how each location could provide additional safety, complete a gap in the Riverwalk pathway, provide for additional accessibility and/or make the Riverwalk more hospitable to its users. Discussion will continue during the next several months. E. NEW BUSINESS: No new business was discussed. F.
