Richard Lo and Kimberly Stull reported that the DuPage Children's Museum has
agreed to place Lo's mural on the South wall of the museum's exterior at the
corner of Spring and Washington. The mural will depict flying kites and
elements of the design will be depicted inside the museum as well. The mural
will be painted and installed on wood panels so that it can be removed. The
museum anticipates needing to re-side the building in the next five years.
Commissioners discussed the need to ensure that clear terms on
decommissioning and removal of the art, insurance, ownership, and
maintenance be included in a legal agreement signed by Lo, DuPage Children's
Museum and the City of Naperville. The City of Naperville will draft the
agreement. Commissioners discussed publicizing the mural, donor recognition
of SECA, and thanked Lo and Stull for finding a home for the mural.
