CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:54 p.m. B. ROLL CALL: Present: Wang, Luo, Donofrio, Lowe, Fuhrer (5) Also Present: Councilwoman Gustin and Rachel Pruneda C. INTRODUCTION/WELCOME OF NEW MEMBER(S): C. PUBLIC FORUM: Scott McKay joined our meeting and we discussed the upcoming festival. D. OLD BUSINESS: E. REPORTS: Approve the Sister Cities Commission minutes of June 9, 2021 Bill Donofrio motioned and Yuquin Wang seconded to approve the minutes of June 2021. AYES: Wang, Luo, Donofrio, Lowe, Fuhrer NAYES: (0) Receive and file the Treasurer’s Report for June 2021 There was no expenditures made for the month of June 2021. Foundation Update: There was no update provided for the Foundation. Website Update: No update was provided on the website. Festival Update: Discussion today was focused on what the next steps were for the festival. Bill Donofrio discussed some of the events planned for some of the downtown businesses. There seems to be a lot of interest around this event. He's working closely with Katie Wood. The Commission will be reaching out to Quibo to see if there is any interest in having a margarita tasting. Commissioners are being asked to join the parade. At the event, we can handout some information about the festival. The City is requiring fencing around the perimeter of the Concert Center. F. NEW BUSINESS: The Commissioners have decided to join the Jaycees Last Fling Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 6, 2021. They have approved the entry fee of $185. G.
