CALL TO ORDER: Alan Lowe called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. B. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Donofrio, Wang, Rudolph, Chamberlain, Saboo, Lowe, Mani OTHERS PRESENT: Councilwoman Gustin, Shafeek Abubaker, Tina Cui, and Rachel Pruneda ABSENT: Fuhrer, Luo C. PUBLIC FORUM: D. OLD BUSINESS: E. REPORTS: Approve Sister Cities Minutes of August 10 & August 31, 2022 Rudolph motioned to approve the Sister Cities minutes of August 10 and August 31, 2022, seconded by Arista. Arun Mani and Tony Chamberlain abstained from voting as they were not present at the meeting. Motion passes by voice vote. UPDATE ON THE HISPANIC FESTIVAL: PROGRAM: SOPHIA LUO Sophia Luo was not present to report on Entertainment. SET-UP: ALAN LOWE Alan Lowe provided an update on the set-up for the festival. BUDGET: LANCE FUHRER We reviewed each line item of the budget. With the donations that went to the Foundation, it appears that we were able to keep on budget. VOLUNTEERS: ARUN MANI Arista Wang took the lead on the volunteers by creating a sign-up link for our students. FOUNDATION UPDATE: SHAFEEK Shafeek Abubaker provided an update on the Festival. Working closely with other Commissioners to ensure that every detail of the event was covered. F.
