Victorine ______________ Representatives from the gun club Jesal Patel Community Adam Firsel Development Nick Zodo Director Charles Ostman Myles Cunningham James Oraha John Jekot called the Building & Zoning committee meeting to order at 8:00 am, he he made a motion to approve the minutes from both the August 8, 2013 and the April 26, 2013 meetings, Chuck seconded the motion and it was a unanimous vote to approve. Jesal Patel introduced himself to Trustee Jekot and explained a little bit about the first location that they had been interested in located on Caldwell, and now they were looking at a new site located at 6119 Howard. They felt that they would be able to come to terms with the property owner to buy the entire site and hopefully move forward with the original plans for the proposed gun club at this new location. He also brought up the text amendments that would be needed for the gun club to be able to operate the proposed business. Each one of the gun club members introduced themselves to Trustee Jekot and explained their role with the gun club. Bruce Sylvester then gave an update on the rewrite of the zoning code explaining that Camiros had held stake holder meeting last month and that they were now going to work on a rough overall draft from what was learned in the stakeholder meetings this is to be complete sometime before the end of the year. He also gave an update on the Milwaukee avenue corridor study that is also being conducted by Camiros www.vniles.com Bruce Sylvester then gave an update on the Touhy Avenue Sub-Area Study that is being conducted by Houseal & Lavigne they were just awarded the contract and should be starting ASAP as this is a high priority area, they were chosen because Houseal & Lavigne did the original Comprehensive plan and it made the most sense to have them do it as they were very familiar with the whole area and town already.
