Finance Committee Meeting Council Chambers July 25, 2014 8:00 a.m. Call To Order: Meeting opened at 8:05 am Roll Call: Finance Director Neukirch called the roll for Committee members. Committee Members Present: John Johann, Al Weel, Village Manager Steve Vinezeano and Finance Director Scot Neukirch Committee Members Absent: Chairman Joe LoVerde and Robert Callero Non Committee Members Present: Village Attorney Joe Annunzio, Benefits Coordinator Kathy Barnat, Asst Finance Director Laurie Nannini and Asst Village Manager Hadley Skeffington-Vos Interim Chairman: In the absence of Chairman Joe LoVerde a motion was made and all concurred to have John Johann serve as the interim Chairman for the meeting. Approval of Minutes: None Accounts Payable Approval: None New Business Insurance Broker Presentations: The Committee individually interviewed three brokerage firms that submitted proposals to broker the Village’s workers compensation, property and liability insurance programs. Assurance, Gallagher and Mesirow were the three candidates. Each group made opening statements followed by Assistant Village Manager Skeffington-Vos asking a list of prepared questions from the Committee. The various brokers responded to the prepared questions and some follow up questions by the Committee members. At the end of the presentations, after the broker representatives had left, the Committee members briefly discussed their thoughts on the presentations. The Committee members agreed that they would rank the three brokers in order of preference and write down their rankings with a brief reason for each of the rankings. The written rankings of each Committee member were placed in an envelope, sealed.and given to Village Attorney Annunzio.
