Minutes Village of Niles Finance Committee Meeting Council Chambers Conference Room April 17, 2019 9:00 a.m. Call To Order Chairman Dean Strzelecki called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Roll Call Assistant Finance Director Laurie Nannini called the roll for Committee members: Committee Members Present: Chairman Dean Strzelecki, George Van Geem, Jack Drexler Committee Members Absent: Joseph Ori Village Staff Present: Finance Director Jeff Martynowicz, Assistant Finance Director Laurie Nannini, Village Manager Steve Vinezeano, Deputy Village Manager Hadley Skeffington-Vos, Assistant to the Village Manager Kathy Thake, Administrative Assistant Joy Athanasiou Old Business None Approval of Minutes The regular minutes from the March 20, 2019 Finance Committee meeting were presented for approval, motion was made and all concurred. Accounts Payable Approval The Accounts Payable registers for 2019-3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5 were presented for approval. A motion was made and on roll call, all concurred. New Business FY2019 Budget Amendment Ordinance Jeff Martynowicz stated the village has contracted to purchase the old Grainger building that is located in the Gross Point Touhy TIF District. The cost of the property is nearly 8.1 million dollars. In order to purchase the property, the Village will need to transfer funds from the Milwaukee Touhy TIF to the Gross Point Touhy TIF. Jeff requested authorization to transfer funds and have appropriation to purchase property. George Van Geem made a motion to concur with administration for the appropriation amendment. On roll call, all concurred. nd Other Business Chairman Strzelecki commended staff for the 2 floor remodel at Village Hall. He said it looks great and came in under budget.
