FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES VILLAGE OF NILES , ILLINOIS July 1, 2014, 4:00 P.M. 1000 Civic Center Dr. Niles, IL 60714 Chairman Valle called the regular monthly meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. and took roll call. Present: Chairman Valle, Commissioner Mangold, Commissioner Mueller, Fire Chief Borkowski, Police Deputy Chief Penze, Village Attorney Annunzio and Igor Studencov from the Niles Herald Spectator Newspaper. Absent:. Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the June 3, 2014 meeting were approved. Motion: Commissioner Mangold. Second: Commissioner Mueller. Yeas: Commissioner Mangold, Commissioner Mueller, Chairman Valle. Nays: . Abstain: . Correspondence: None. Old Business: The Fire Eligibility examination application process is underway. New Business: The existing Chapter III of the Niles Fire and Police Commission Rules and Regulations adopted on July 27, 2012 were repealed and replaced by a revised Chapter III. The regular meeting was closed at 4:07 P.M. and opened in Executive Session per 5 ILCS 120/2 (1) Personnel. Motion: Commissioner Mangold. Second: Commissioner Mueller. Yeas: Commissioner Mangold, Commissioner Mueller, Chairman Valle. Nays: . Abstain: . The Executive Session opened at 4:07 P.M. to discuss Fire and Police personnel matters.
