FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES VILLAGE OF NILES , ILLINOIS June 6, 2019 7000 W. Touhy Avenue Niles, IL 60714 Chairman Mueller called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M. and took roll call. Present: Commissioner Pacheco, Chairman Mueller, Commander Tornabene and Fire Chief Feld. Absent: Commissioner Borkowki. Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the March 7, 2019 meeting were approved. New Business: Discuss Firefighter hiring. Background investigations on four candidates is ongoing. Interviews for those candidates will be scheduled for June 26th. Ten additional candidates will be set for polygraphs. Discuss Police hiring. A second lateral application round is beginning on June 7, 2019 and ends on June 28, 2019. The regular meeting was closed at 10:03 A.M. and opened in Executive Session per 5 ILCS 120/2 (1) Personnel. Motion: Commissioner Pacheco. Second: Chairman Mueller.
