Vinezeano – Village Manager Andrew Vitale called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Agenda Item #1 – Approval of Minutes The minutes of the July 23, 2014 meeting were approved. Agenda Item #2 – Old Business – Project Updates Orthophotography Print A. Vitale reported that as part of the orthophotography project, the Village will be receiving one large format (3’ x 4’) hard copy print of the orthophotography. He will be supplementing areas outside of the Village with the most recent orthophotography from Cook County in places where there may be gaps in our current orthophotography coverage. The Committee agreed. Cook County Data Sharing Resolution A. Vitale submitted the new Data Sharing with Cook County for Assessment data to the Board for approval on April 28, 2015. It was approved, and he will now work with the Village Clerk’s Office in getting the proper signed agreements to the County for access to current Assessment data. Planimetric Data Update / Maintenance A. Vitale reported that although the new layer of buildings and other planimetric information will not be in place in the near future, it will be important to get the process of establishing that process started as soon as possible. He will work with S. Cusick in establishing this process as soon as S. Cusick is available to do so according to his schedule. Easements A. Vitale has researched the process used by several area communities in tracking Easements. He recommended a process similar to what the Village of Gurnee follows, and detailed his recommendation in an email dated March 23, 2015. C. Ostman agreed with the recommendation, and he will work with A. Vitale and a soon to be hired intern over the summer in establishing a process to gather this data and a workflow to keep it up to date as well. Agenda Item #3 – New Business Atlas The interactive mapping portion of Atlas has been re-launched. This includes the introduction of the new mapping engine software, ArcGIS Server, as well as Geocortex, software designed to work with ArcGIS Server that will allow A. Vitale greater flexibility in offering additional mapping functionality in Atlas. Boundary Changes A. Vitale and C. Ostman have noticed several areas throughout the Village where our boundary may not exactly match with what Cook County reports in documents or on its own Web site. A. Vitale will work with all entities, including the future Community Development intern in determining the correct boundary. He will report to the Committee on an ongoing basis. ESRI Community Base Maps Program A. Vitale expressed his desire to participate in the ESRI Community Basemap Program, a method for municipalities and other authoritative data owners to share data of their choosing for online access to other users over the Internet. A. Vitale believes this could be a valuable way for the Village to showcase their authoritative data to other communities, as well a take advantage of data submitted by our surrounding neighbors. The Committee agreed. Agenda Item #4 – Other Items Cook County Products / Offerings A. Vitale demonstrated several Cook County products and service to highlight their commitment to share more data in an effort to be more open and transparent with their constituent users. Although we may not have immediate need to take advantage of these services just yet, A. Vitale believes that as these products and services continue to grow, he will keep an eye on how we can utilize the functionality and data where applicable. Agenda Item #5 – Next Meeting The next meeting was tentatively scheduled for July 15, 2015 at 8:30 am.
