PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING SUMMARY Thursday March 23,2016 Fire Station 2 - Room # 117,8360 W. Dempster St Members Present: Trustee Dean Strzelecki - Chair, Police Chief Dennis Mc Enerney, Fire Chief Steve Borkowski. Members Absent: Citizen Anthony Fidanza Also present: Public Services Mary Anderson, Public Services Superintendant Fred Braun, Public services Facility Supervisor John Kosina, Justin Reed Garland Company Meeting began at 5:30 P.M. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Strzelecki asked for a motion to approve March 3,2016 meeting minutes. Motion made by Chief Borkowski to accept meeting minutes. Second by Chief Mc Enemey. Minutes accepted unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS None NEW BUSINESS 1. Remodeling of fire station 3. Superintendant Braun discussed the four options being considered for fire station 3. A discussion was held on budget numbers and scope of work as well as the temporary housing of the firefighters and vehicles during this project. Chairman Strzelecki asked for a motion to proceed with fire station 3 remodeling project. Motion made by Chief Mc Enerney, Second by Chief Borkowski, motion passed.
