CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Emrich called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: 5- Mayor Pete Emrich, Commissioner David Duval, Commissioner Demetrius Petrow,
Vice Mayor Barbara Langdon and Commissioner Philip Stokes
ALSO PRESENT
City Manager Fletcher, City Attorney Fuino, Assistant City Clerk Powell, Board
Specialist Lindner, Police Captain Fussell, Deputy Fire Chief Herlihy, and Human
Resources Director McDade.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jason Korte.
1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mayor Emrich requested a motion.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stokes, seconded by Vice Mayor Langdon,
to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried on the following vote:

and Commissioner Stokes

4. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS
A. 26-0218 Presentation of a Key to the City to Bud Korte (Posthumously).
Commission presented the Key to the City.
B. 25-3039 Presentation of Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
Award to be Presented to Parks & Grounds Assistant Manager Thomas
Brown.
Commission presented the Award.
C. 26-0001 Presentation of a Proclamation Proclaiming January 18th Through January
24th, 2026, as National Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists Week, to
be Presented to Rebecca Fleetwood on Behalf of Florida Association of
Nurse Anesthesiology (FANA).
Commission presented the Proclamation.
D. 26-0244 Presentation of a Proclamation Proclaiming January 8, 2026, as North Port
as a Purple Heart City, to be Presented Kevin and Lauren Wallace of the
Van of Valor Project.
Commission presented the Proclamation.
E. 26-0237 Presentation of Certificate of Recognition to Kevin and Lauren Wallace in
Recognition of the Van of Valor Project.
Commission presented the Certificate of Recognition.

6. ADJOURNMENT:
NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF REPORTS - The Agenda is a summary of the proposed actions to be taken by the City
Commission. For almost every agenda item, the City staff has prepared materials for Commission consideration and
provided a staff recommendation. All of these materials are available at the City Clerk's Office, during normal
business hours, for inspection and (for a fee) copying. Questions on these materials may be directed to the staff
member who prepared them, or to the City Clerk's Office, who will refer you to the appropriate person.
AMERICAN WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1990 - The North Port City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Special parking is
available on the west side of City Hall and the building may be accessed from the parking area. Persons with hearing
difficulties should contact the City Clerk to obtain a hearing device for use during meetings.
