MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMISSION
VILLAGE OF NORTHBROOK
COOK COUNTY
April 12, 2012
Pro Tem Chairman Town called the meeting to order in the Terrace Room of the Village Hall at 5:30 PM.
On roll call, present were: Members Heidbrink, Jordison, Katz, Menn, Rubenstein, Pro Tem Chairman
Town (6); Absent: Schwall (1); also present: T. Poupard, Director of Development and Planning; N.
Desario, Assistant Director of Building; and S. Marinovic, Recorder.
Public Comments
There were no comments from the public at this time.
Review of minutes
Member Katz moved, seconded by Member Heidbrink, to approve the minutes of January 27, 2011 and
March 8, 2012. On voice vote, the motion carried.
Discussion of Upcoming ISO Review and Schedule for 2012 Code Reviews
Director Poupard stated that the ISO review will occur next month and an ISO reviewer will be at the
Village in May.
The 2012 Codes were under review by Staff. He noted that during the first review, nine to ten
amendments were no longer necessary.
Member Rubenstein mentioned that the Village of Lincolnwood required sheeting for excavation.
Director Poupard stated that Staff was focusing on that area.
Amendments to Municipal Code – Duties of ACC & Monotony Review
Director Poupard provided the Members with updated terms for each Commission Member. He asked the
Members what direction they Members thought the Commission should take and where they would like
to focus their attention.
Chairman Schwall commented that he would like the Commission to be more involved in projects similar
to when the Commission was involved with the Center of the North Shore project.
Single Family Home Elevations
The following Single Family Homes were reviewed.
Member Katz motioned, seconded by Member Menn, to allow Staff to review the elevations and handle
the appropriate paperwork for the following elevations:
o Revisions to 1722 Chapel Court – continued from February meeting
o 1959 Penfold – JA Architects Ltd. – Architects
o 1145 Heritage Oaks – Michael Hershenson – Architect
o 2309 Walters Ave – Fred Polito – Architect
o 925 Keystone – Group A Architecture – Architect
o 1049 Keystone – FWC Architects, Inc. – Architect
o 2195 Second Street – FWC Architects, Inc. – Architect

On voice vote, the motion carried.
New Business
There was no new business.

Adjourn
Member Menn moved, seconded by Member Rubenstein, that the meeting be adjourned. On a voice vote,
the motion was approved. The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 PM.
