APPROVED 1 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING 2 ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMISSION 3 VILLAGE OF NORTHBROOK 4 COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS 5 February 9, 2017 6 7 Commissioners Present (5) 8 Lori Jordison 9 Cliff Town 10 David Menn 11 Christopher Urbanczyk 12 Robert Katz 13 14 Members Absent (2): 15 F. Dirk Heidbrink 16 Alan Schwall 17 18 Village Staff Present 19 David Schoon, Assistant Director of Development and Planning Services 20 Colleen Brunner, Recorder 21 22 Call to Order 23 Acting Chairman Town called the meeting to order in the Terrace Room of Village Hall, 1225 Cedar Lane 24 at 5:30 p.m. 25 26 Roll Call 27 Roll was called. There was a quorum. 28 29 Review of Minutes 30 Review of minutes postponed to next meeting. 31 32 Public Comments Regarding Items Not on the Agenda 33 There were none. 34 35 Level II Design Review Permit Request for 1220 Meadow Road- Huntington Bank Signage 36 37 Huntington Bank is taking over First Merit Banks. The proposed signage is smaller in size, with white 38 channel letters. They will be LED illuminated. They are taking down 3 signs and replacing them with 2 39 signs. 40 41 Member Katz made a motion to approve the signage as presented. The motion was seconded and all 42 voted in favor. 43 44 Northshore 770 Development: New Sign Request for 510 Dundee Road- Zen Nail Spa 45 46 Andrew from TFA Signs stated the signs will have channel letters and a full aluminum box. The height 47 meets all codes. 1 APPROVED 1 2 Member Katz made a motion to approve the signs in accordance with the submitted plans. The motion 3 was seconded and all voted in favor. 4 5 New Single Family Home Elevations 6 7 It was recommended and all voted in favor of staff reviewing and approving the elevations at 2424 8 Illinois Road and 1627 Voltz Road. 9 10 New Business 11 None 12 13 Old Business 14 Members requested an update to the role of the ACC previously discussed with President Frum. Schoon 15 stated he will follow up with Tom Poupard. 16 17 Adjourn 18 There being no further business, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.
