ART IN THE PARK Financial Report
Chairman Miller passed out a budget report for all expenses relating to the Art in the Park event.
$5,000.00 was budgeted for the event and $2,292.00 of that amount was spent.
Many line items came in under budget, but two line items came in over budget. Advertising was over by
$40.00 and one expense not anticipated was Paypal coming in at $420.00.
The commissioners have discussed the difference between last year’s event and this year’s event for costs
and how well the event went.
Chairman Miller discussed that the commission has already approved the event for 2014 and at that time
Erin Malloy had not agreed to come back but she has contacted Chairman Miller and agreed to the event
in 2014. There are no changes or requirements from her contract last year so all that has been changed
are the dates. The Park District will review the contract and then the legal department for the Village and
management. Chairman Miller asked if she could follow through and sign the contract to keep things
going and the commissioners have agreed to finalize the details with the contract and get it signed to
secure Erin Malloy of EM Events. The commission agreed that Chairman Miller could continue the
process of executing the contract with EM Events
FRIENDS OF THE ARTS

sponsors. All commissioners are encouraged to think of new ideas or events to sponsor in 2014. In
October the commission will discuss ideas for future events or grants.
