APPROVED MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BICYCLE TASK FORCE Northbrook Village Hall – Development & Planning Service Conference Room January 11, 2017 Members Present: Jim O’Connell, Angus Duthie, Chris Henning, Frank Bleeker, and Tom Tebbe Members Absent: George Garner Jr. Staff Present: Jim Baxa Staff Absent: Mike Metrick Others Present: Matt Curin (NBK Resident) Mike Kerr & Melissa McGee (Burke Engineering) Call Meeting to Order. Chairman Henning called the meeting to order in the Terrace Conference Room of the Village Hall at 7:03 p.m. Review July 13, 2016 Minutes. It was moved and seconded that the July 13, 2016 minutes were approved. Presentation by Christopher B. Burke Engineering – Skokie Valley Trail Christopher B. Burke Engineering presented on the Phase I engineering process for the Skokie Valley Trail extension to the committee. Topics included selection of the trail alignment, Illinois Department of Transportation Project Development Report submittal, typical ComEd lease agreements, the proposed Lake-Cook Road pedestrian bridge being worked on jointly between Lake and Cook County Departments of Transportation and the Chicago Metropolitan Area for Planning upcoming call for projects grant application submittal. New Business The BTF then switched their discussion that focused on providing more Pedestrian related needs within the Village for future meetings. No set agenda was planned but the committee wants to begin examining this activity as it will also benefit the community Public Comments Lastly, the BTF welcomed new committee member applicant Matt Curin to the team; Matt is an avid cyclist who enjoys cycling with children.
