Approved Interfaith Sunday Meeting Minutes Tuesday, February 19, 2013 Northbrook Public Library, Room 2, 7pm In attendance: Linda Goldsher, Bob Lozaro, Chelle Singer, Mary Hansen, Nancy Stoddard, Homer Ma, Betsy Liberman, Ron Mantegna Absent: Elliott Bruckman, Paula Duran (new member) Linda announced a new member to the committee, Paula Duran. She was unable to make the meeting, but will be involved. She also announced that the Clergy Association agreed to the name change and the event will officially be renamed “Interfaith Sunday”. Chelle reported that DancEd was very open to participating in the event with 1st and 2nd graders, however, we would need a bigger venue if this is going to happen. The new gym at Greenbriar was suggested and we will look into the availability. Mary reported on youth and they were very receptive to the idea. Bob reported that he secured the Gazebo and a room at St. Norberts for the event. Paperwork will be submitted. Bob also spoke with the VFW. It was brought to our attention that the date of the event, April 28th is also Israel Day for the Jewish community. We discussed the fact that having the event without the participation of the Jewish community in Northbrook would not be beneficial. We proposed two alternative dates, April 21st or May 19th. Linda will present these dates to the Clergy Assn and see if either date will work. In addition to the PR the village does for us, we believe flyers and lawn signs at each house of worship participating would be a good idea. We discussed giveaway ideas and decided on t-shirts. Linda will look into cost and we decided on ordering 100 additional shirts in various sizes. We also decided on static clings with our logo on it for the car, Betsy is pricing these. Linda will check on the cost of notepads with our logo and quote on them. Chelle, Bob and Nancy will work on the Village Hall portion of the event by coming up with fun facts and something to go along with our theme of “dispelling the myths”. They will also secure small prizes for giveaway. Linda will update the flyer. Betsy and Elliott will be in charge of food. Pizza will be ordered from Piero’s. We will get cookies, and make lemonade. We have plenty of cups from the last event. We will decide on individual slices or whole pizzas and slice it ourselves when we know our budget.
