APPROVEDMINUTES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION VILLAGE OF NORTHBROOK May 17, 2012 Chairman Jeremy Reynolds called the EQC meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. outside the Northbrook Village Hall, 1225 Cedar Lane. The following Members were in attendance: Chairman Jeremy Reynolds, Michael Beeftink, Linda Masters, and Aparna Rao. A full quorum was met. Also Present: Liaison Dan Kaup. Members absent: Scott Robson, Fred Paul. Minutes The minutes of the April 19, 2012 meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Member Masters to approve the minutes as presented. This was seconded by Member Rao. On voice vote, motion passed. Chairman’s Report Before the commencement of the meeting business, the group weeded and mulched the rain garden behind the Village Hall. The group also discussed a permanent scheduled to conduct the garden maintenance. For the next few months, the group will meet out by the garden prior to the EQC meetings to weed and plant new plants in the garden if necessary. Chairman Reynolds gave a brief overview of the Lake County Stormwater Management Meeting he attended on May 9. Chairman Reynolds commented on new Lake Forest Municipal Services building, and the fact that they achieved a LEED Gold rating for its construction. He will keep the group apprised of any new developments from that group. Member Rao gave a report on the CONSEC meeting that she and member Paul attended this month. She mentioned that only four communities were represented. She will attend any other meetings the group may have in the future.
