1. DOCKET PCD-15-24: 1812 CHAPEL COURT- HISTORICAL SOCIETY. (Public Hearing Closed - No Further
Comment Accepted.) Consideration of a resolution recommending approval of an application by the
Northbrook Historical Society as contract purchaser of 1812 Chapel Court which is owned by the
Christian Science Society, for the purpose of authorizing: A) Special permit to allow a Museum and
related accessory activities; B) Special permit for the accessory use of the Subject Property as a
Religious Organization; C) Approval of such other zoning relief as may be necessary.
2. DOCKET PCD-15-22: 990 SKOKIE BOULEVARD. (Public Hearing Closed - No Further Comment Accepted)
Consideration of a resolution recommending approval of an application by BRB Development, LLC on
behalf of Lock Up Skokie Blvd. LLC, as contract purchaser of a property located at 990 Skokie
Boulevard, which is owned by 990 Partners, L.L.C. , for the purpose of authorizing the following: (A)

Zoning Code text amendments to allow the following by special permit in the O-2 District: (1) Self-
Storage Warehousing within a Single, Climate Controlled Building; (2) Buildings up to three stories in
height; and (3) A floor area ratio in excess of 0.50, but no greater than 1.0; (B) Special permits to allow
the following on the Subject Property: (1) Self-Storage Warehousing within a Single, Climate
Controlled Building with no more than 950 storage units on the Subject Property; (2) a three-story
building, no taller than 35 feet in height; (3) a floor area ratio no greater than 0.88; (C) Approval of a
plat of consolidation; (D) Variation of the Subdivision and Development Code to waive the
requirement to bury existing overhead utilities lines along Sunset Ridge Road and to allow a fee to be
paid in lieu of burial of these overhead lines; and (E) Approval of such other zoning and subdivision
relief.
6. REVIEW OF NEW APPLICATIONS
1. DOCKET NO. 15-14: 3580 - 3900 TECHNY ROAD - PROVENANCE DEVELOPMENT (First Public Hearing).
An application submitted by RSD Mission Hills, LLC of Northbrook, IL as the contract purchaser of the
property located at approximately 3580 – 3900 Techny Road in unincorporated Cook County (the
“Subject Property”). The Applicant is seeking the following approvals: (A) Final plat approval for a
planned unit development in unincorporated Cook County with 137 dwellings, common areas and
private roadways; (B) Procedural variation to allow the request to be processed as a combined
tentative and final subdivision plat; (C) Variation to permit private streets within the proposed
subdivision; (D) Variation to permit the cul-de-sac streets to exceed 1,200 feet in length; (E) Variation
to not construct sidewalk along certain streets; (F) Variation to potentially waive the requirement to
bury existing overhead utility lines along the Techny Road frontage; and (G) Approval of such other
relief from the Subdivision and Development Code, Standards and Specifications for Public and
Private Improvements, and Official Comprehensive Plan as may be necessary to accommodate the
development of the Subject Property as proposed by the Applicant. The property is located in
unincorporated Cook County, but within 1.5 miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Northbrook.
The Subject Property is under the zoning jurisdiction of Cook County. The purpose of this public
hearing is to review the proposed subdivision plat. The County has already established the zoning and
approved the 137-unit planned unit development.
