Discussions
Application Notifications
The neighborhood coalition is developing a guide for zoning
In regards to current zoning rules, rules can be added but not removed.
Questions were discussed as do we want earlier notice in Norwalk. Signs were brought up. Joel
asked what types of signs. Discussion of whether signs disturb or annoy neighbors.
Rick preferred certified letter early in progress to neighbors in a wider radius than now.
Discussion that notification should be within 5 days of filing application. 100 feet x2 as standard.
The task force will put together a general description of what is being proposed and refer results
to city hall. Adam will circulate to members for opinion as well as conservation, planning and
Mayor.
Other items
IT is getting presentations for software packages online for Application processing and permits.
Similar to what is used in Darien.
Task force received top 10 things that didn’t happen from Mike Greene. Will circle back on later
date.
Redevelopment will make a presentation at next meeting re: SONO TOD update. Also discuss
parking in SONO, Wall Street and West Avenue.
