3. Application Review committee members only - Pinto
a. 12 Shorehaven Road, Application by Eclypse Holdings, LLC. The applicant
proposes to retain riprap and construct a pier and boatlift for private recreational
boating at the same location. Accordingly, the Applicant plans to construct a 4’
by 105’ piling–supported timber pier equipped with a 16,000-pound capacity
boatlift. Pilings will be driven by barge-borne equipment. Barges will access
worksite a high tide and be withdraw to deeper water during off-work hours.
Workers from landward side will install timbers for supporting the pier. The pier
will be pre-fabricated at the contractor’s yard, brought by barge, and hoisted into
permanent location by derrick. The boatlift will be pre-fabricated at the
contractor’s yard, delivered by barge, and installed once pier is completed.
b. 310 Wilson Avenue, CAM Application, WEB Construction, LLC. The
applicant proposes to re-develop a currently vacant property as a contractor’s
yard for outdoor material storage located on a “previously disturbed” and
developed area. The property is served by city sewer and water. Storage of
materials will comply with FEMA minimum flood elevation. A new on-site
stormwater retention system consisting of a catch basin and oil separator is
proposed and is accompanied by other utilities and landscaping.
c. DOT’s plans on relocation of Maritime Aquarium and Seaport Association
excursion vessels. Discussion of latest graphics that were presented and
discussed at Vessel Relocation Meeting sponsored by DOT on 4/22/20.
d. Discussion of Conceptual Plans for redevelopment of Water Street
properties, Beinfield Architecture PC, 68 Water Street.
e. Standing Action Items: Open discussion of future Walk Bridge proposals
regarding placement of transmission cables by Eversource and DOT,
DOT’s plans for stationing work barges in Norwalk Harbor; DOT’s plans to
monitor water quality.
