Minutes of Annual Meeting
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk was
held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.

Meeting at began at opened at 5:40
12-15 Commissioner Tatem moved to approve:
a. Submission of a Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant in the amount of
$30,000,000 to the Department of Housing and Urban Development with Norwalk
Housing Authority as the lead applicant and furthermore authorize the Chairman and/or
Executive Director to sign documents related to the submission of this Grant.
b. Choice Neighborhoods Initiative Partnership Legal Contract Between Housing Authority of
the City of Norwalk, Norwalk Redevelopment Agency, Trinity Financial, Housing
Opportunities Unlimited, and Stepping Stones Museum for Children.
c. Submission of Norwalk Housing Authority application Number HHS-2014-ACF-OHS-CH-
R01-0612, in the amount of $1,462,699 to the Department of Health and Human Services,
Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start Funding Opportunity to
become a Head Start Grantee in, Norwalk, Weston, Westport, Wilton and New Canaan.
d. Changes to Admissions and Occupancy Plan
e. Staff to attend the 13th Annual Conn-Nahro Convention and Exhibit “SAILING INTO NEW
WATERS” to be held at Mohegan Sun Convention Center in Uncaseville CT, August 28h –
August 31th at a cost of $400.00
