1. Call to Order
Village President Scaman called the meeting to order at 12:03 P.M. She
authorized a statement be read providing that the meeting is being held
remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines and that it is not prudent
to have people present at the Village Board's regular meeting location due to
public health concerns related to that pandemic.
2. Roll Call
Village Trustee Enyia arrived at 12:05 P.M.
Present: 7- Village President Scaman, Village Trustee Buchanan, Village Trustee Enyia, Village
Trustee Parakkat, Village Trustee Robinson, Village Trustee Taglia, and Village
Trustee Walker-Peddakotla
Absent: 0
3. Public Comment
There was no Public Comment.
4. Consideration of Motion to Adjourn to Executive Session to Discuss Personnel
It was moved by Village Trustee Parakkat, seconded by Village Trustee
Buchanan, to enter into Executive Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) - the
Appointment of a Specific Employee of the Village, and pursuant to 5
ILCS120/2(c)(3) - the Selection of a Person to Fill a Vacancy in a Public Office.
The motion was approved. The roll call on the vote was as follows:
AYES: 7- Village President Scaman, Village Trustee Buchanan, Village Trustee Enyia, Village
Trustee Parakkat, Village Trustee Robinson, Village Trustee Taglia, and Village
Trustee Walker-Peddakotla
NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 0
5. Adjourn Executive Session
Meeting went into Executive Session at 12:06 P.M.

Village Trustee Walker-Peddakotla left the meeting at 6:31 P.M.
The Special Meeting reconvened at 7:25 P.M.
7. Adjourn
It was moved by Village Trustee Parakkat, seconded by Village Trustee
Robinson, to adjourn. The motion was approved. The meeting adjourned at 7:26
P.M., Thursday, February 3, 2022.

A Special Meeting is being conducted remotely at 12:00 p.m. with live audio available
and optional video. The Village Board is expected to immediately adjourn to
Executive Session and reconvene to the Special Meeting at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be streamed live and archived online for on-demand viewing at
www.oak-park.us/boardtv as well as cablecast on VOP-TV, which is available to
Comcast subscribers on channel 6 and ATT Uverse subscribers on channel 99.
The President and Board of Trustees welcome your statement into the public record of a
meeting. Public statements of up to three minutes will be allowed during Non-Agenda
public comment or Agenda public comment, as an individual designates. Please follow
the instructions to participate remotely. You may also communicate with the Village

Instructions for Non-Agenda Public Comment
Non-Agenda public comment is a time set aside at the beginning of each Village Board
meeting for public statements about an issue or concern that is not on that meeting’s
agenda. Send a request to state your comments during the virtual meeting by 10:30
a.m. the day of the Village Board meeting to publiccomment@oak-park.us. You will be
sent instructions on how to participate during the virtual meeting. Non-agenda public
comment will be limited to 30 minutes with a limit of three minutes per statement. If
comment requests exceed 30 minutes, public comment will resume after the items listed
under the agenda are complete.
Instructions for Agenda Public Comment
Comments are three minutes per person per agenda item with a maximum of three
agenda items to which you can speak. In addition, the Village Board permits a maximum
of three persons to speak to each side of any one topic that is scheduled for or has been
the subject of a public hearing by a designated hearing body. These items are noted with
