Call To Order The meeting was called to order at 6:41 p.m. in room 130. Present: President Abu-Taleb, Trustee Tucker and Trustee Ott. Trustee Brewer joined the meeting at 7 p.m. Also in attendance: Cara Pavlicek, Village Manager, Tammie Grossman, Director of Development Customer Service, Mark Dwyer, Grants Supervisor, Kristine Giornalista, Neighborhood Services Manager and Carrianne Carallis, Grants Coordinator. 2. Roll Call 3. Public Comment There were no public comments. 4. Approval of Minutes Trustee Tucker made a motion to approve the minutes of September 4, 2014. Seconded by Trustee Ott. Ayes: all. Nays: none. Motion carried. This was approved. 5. New Business Manager Pavlicek introduced Director Grossman and her staff. A PowerPoint was presented on the Community Development Block Grant and the Five Year Consolidated Planning Process. There was a review of the allocation of administration (20%) and public services (up to a 15%). The updated Census Map was reviewed and the status of process. A list was provided of what choices are available as well as the overall ranking. A discussion followed regarding public services and option for priority based funding. Economic development options were reviewed. Trustee Ott stated that she was supportive of public service money with priority based funding. Trustee Tucker would like to keep the 15% allocation over concerns about priority based funding. Director Grossman stated that alternatively restrict CDCAC to minimum grant amounts and maintain current process. There was a discussion on economic development. Old Business Review of Consolidated Plan for Housing & Community Development 7. Adjournment There was a motion to adjourn by Trustee Ott at 7:40 p.m. Seconded by Trustee Tucker. Ayes: all.
