ADDRESSING THE COMMISSION
Citizens may address the Commission on agenda items by responding to Chair’s call for speakers
during discussion on each item. All comments must be relevant to the item. The Chair or presiding
officer may in his or her discretion prohibit a person from addressing the Commission and/or remove
that person from the Council Chambers, if that person commits any disorderly or disruptive behavior.
Disorderly conduct includes, but is not limited to, any of the following: speaking without being
recognized by the Chair or presiding officer; continuing to speak after notice that the speaker’s
allotted time has expired; presenting comments or material not relevant to the item under discussion;
failing to comply with the lawful instructions of the Chair or presiding officer; engaging in other
conduct, activity or speech that delays, pursuant to 21 O.S. §280, disruptive conduct includes any
conduct that is “violent, threatening, abusive, obscene, or that jeopardizes the safety of self or others”.
A person may also be subject to arrest and removal from the Municipal Building for violation of
Oklahoma City Municipal Code 2020, §3081 Disorderly conduct and/or violation of Okla. Stat. tit.
21, §280 – Willfully Disturbing, Interfering With or Disrupting State Business, Agency Operations or
Employees. Please limit your comments to three minutes.
COMMISSION ACTIONS
Official Action can only be taken on items which appear on the Agenda. The Downtown Design
Commission may adopt, approve, deny, defer, recommend, amend, strike or continue any Agenda
item. When more information is needed to act on an item, the Downtown Design Commission may
refer the matter to Planning Department staff. All items are either approved, denied, continued to a

Construct new stairs and railings to access sidewalk on the north side of the E
Reno Ave bridge; 2. Remove existing sidewalk at the base of the new stairs and a
portion of the retaining wall along the Bricktown Canal and replace with new
sidewalk (including a new section cantilevered out over the existing retaining wall)
with new railings to match the existing; and 3. Cut into retaining wall and guardrails
on the north side of E Reno Ave bridge and provide finish details for the break in
the retaining wall and the finish details for the remaining cut guardrails.

on an application by Kenton Tsoodle, Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority,
to provide a recommendation to the Planning Commission regarding a request to
vacate a portion of the platted rightofway for NE 6th St and the eastwest alley
between NE 5th St and NE 6th St (situated between N Walnut Ave and I235) to
consolidate properties abutting unused easements and to facilitate future
development.

Reduce/reconfigure light poles; 2. Install lighted bollards instead of light poles
at east edge of parking lot adjacent to structure; and 3. Reconfigure

D Laughlin 1982 Trust, to: 1. Casement windows: replace individual glass
panes in existing casement windows; take existing casement windows to
metal substrate and paint; 2. Remove previous tenants attached wall sign; 3.
Repair/replace gutters, downspouts and metal flashing; 4. Install address
signs in three locations; 5. Repaint existing flag pole; 6. Remove existing tar
and paper roof and replace with white TPO; 7. Install three rooftop HVAC

Corporation/SSM Health to: North Entry: 1. Install new handrails; 2. Raise
the height of the existing concrete wall in front of the round support column
for the elevated walkway and add signage to that wall; 3. Construct a new
canopy structure beneath the elevated walkway (including a single linear light
fixture); 4. Paint existing handrails; 5. Paint the existing bollards; 6. Paint the
existing guardrails; 7. Refinish existing concrete walls; 8. Install landscaping;
the height of the existing concrete wall in front of the round support column
for the elevated walkway and add signage to that wall; 3. Construct a new
canopy structure beneath the elevated walkway (including a single linear light
fixture); 4. Paint existing handrails; 5. Paint the existing bollards; 6. Paint the

steel canopy over existing raised patio along the south facade; 2. Install
painted steel sliding gate at south end of existing private drive along the east
side of the building and install painted steel fence at the north end of that area;
3. Revise east facade by creating opening for a door and window, install door
and window, and install prefabricated spiral stair; 4. Revise CMU monument
sign by coating with concrete parging and facing it with steel panels, with
backlit routed out letters; 5. Install five (5) painted steel tube portal frames
around main entrance of east building; and 6. Install attached wall sign of
metal letters above new portal at main entrance at the west elevation.

LLC to: 1. Install brick infill to match existing at the east elevation; 2. Remove
existing fabric awning at the west elevation; 3. Install new metal awning over
the entry at the west elevation; and 4) Restripe the parking lot.
