Ethics Committee MINUTES for Meeting on Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Pekin City Hall 1. Call to order made at 5:00pm 2. Roll call was taken with the following people present: a. Susan Stuart b. Tom Ivey c. Joe Privett d. Mark Rothert, City Manager and Ex-officio member e. Kate Swise, City Attorney and Ex-officio member f. Mark Luft, Mayor g. Beck Cloyd, City Councilmember 3. Lots were drawn amongst the voting members of the Commission to determine length of terms. Commissioner Privett drew a 1 year term. Commissioners Stuart and Ivey each drew 2 year terms. 4. Discussion then went to the topic of naming a chair person and that was deferred to the next meeting so that commissioners could get better acquainted with their roles. 5. A presentation was then provided by Mr. Rothert over the Ethics Ordinance and Code of Ethics and Conduct adopted by the City Council earlier this year in August. 6. The Commission concluded the meeting and determined to meet again on December 7, 2021 at 5:30pm at Pekin City Hall. 7. Motion to Adjourn, made by Privett, seconded by Ivey. Unanimous voice vote to adjourn at 6:10 pm.
