PENDLETON TOWN COUNCIL JULY 15, 2024, 4:00 PM CALLED MEETING MINUTES: After due notice to the press, Town Council met at Town Hall. Frank Crenshaw, Lyn Merchant, Barbara Hamberg, Vince Gaulin, Jeff Van Drie were present. 1) EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO SC CODE OF LAW SECTION 30-4-70(2) TO RECEIVE LEGAL ADVICE AND DISCUSS SEWER CAPACITY AND POTENTIAL CONTRACTUAL MATTER RELATED THERETO Barbara Hamberg made a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss the above. Vince Gaulin seconded. Unanimous. Lyn Merchant made a motion to leave the Execute Session and go back to the Called Meeting. Jeff Van Drie seconded. Unanimous. No decisions were made during the Executive Session. 2) MOTION(S)/VOTE(S) FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION IF NEEDED Lyn Merchant made a motion to direct the Town Administrator and Mayor, along with legal counsel for the Town in this matter, to finalize negotiations for the commercial/industrial wastewater user to connect to the Town’s sewer system under terms as generally just discussed and bring back an agreement for final review and approval by the Town Council. Vince Gaulin seconded. Unanimous. 3) ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, at 4:15 pm, Vince Gaulin made a motion to adjourn. Lyn Merchant seconded. Unanimous.
