PENDLETON TOWN COUNCIL MAY 28, 2025, 5:00 PM CALLED MEETING MINUTES: After due notice to the press, Town Council met at Town Hall. Frank Crenshaw, Lyn Merchant, Barbara Hamberg, Vince Gaulin, Jeff Van Drie were present. Vince Gaulin made a motion to amend the agenda to move item 3 and a portion of item 4 “motion(s)/vote(s) from Executive Session if needed” to the first part of the agenda. Jeff Van Drie seconded. Unanimous. 1) EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO SC CODE OF LAW SECTION §30-4-70(2): RECEIVE LEGAL ADVICE, DISCUSS CONTRACTUAL MATTER REGARDING THE VILLAGES AT TOWN CREEK Lyn Merchant made a motion to go into the Executive Session to discuss the above. Jeff Van Drie seconded. Unanimous. Barbara Hamberg made a motion to go out of Executive Session and back into the Called Meeting. Vince Gaulin seconded. Unanimous. No decisions were made while in Executive Session. 2) MOTION(S)/VOTE(S) FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION IF NEEDED N/A 3) WORK SESSION TO DISCUSS THE TOWN OF PENDLETON'S FY 25/26 BUDGET 1.a CONSIDERATION OF A WORK SESSION TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED FY 26 BUDGET Council held a Work Session on the proposed budget. Additional funds will be allocated to the Pendleton Recreation Association and to parking improvements. Attorney David Root will draft new agreements between the Town and the Pendleton Recreation Association and the Pendleton Volunteer Fire Department regarding the use of allocated funds. 4) CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING ALLOCATION TO THE PLANNING GRANT FOR THE DOGHOUSE AND RIVERSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT 2.a CONSIDERATION OF ALLOCATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDS Vince Gaulin made a motion to allocate additional funds to the project. Lyn Merchant seconded. Unanimous. 5) MOTION(S)/VOTE(S) FROM WORK SESSION IF NEEDED N/A 6) ADJOURNMENT With no further business to discuss, at 6:51 pm, Lyn Merchant made a motion to adjourn.
