PENDLETON TOWN COUNCIL APRIL 29, 2026, 11:30 AM SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES: After due notice to the press, Town Council met at Town Hall. Sarah Stokowski, Lyn Merchant, Barbara Hamberg, Nancy von Meyer, Jeff Van Drie were present. 1) CONSIDERATION OF EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO SC CODE OF LAW SECTIONS 30-4-70(a)(1) AND 30-4-70(a)(2) TO DISCUSS THE TOWN PLANNER POSITION AND THE TOWN ADMINISTRATOR'S CONTRACT, INCLUDING DISCUSSION OF THE RELATED PROCESS WITH THE FIRM, AND TO RECEIVE AN UPDATE AND DISCUSS MEDIATION RELATED TO THE VILLAGES AT TOWN CREEK. Town Attorney David Root provided a brief update stating that the suit has been filed, that mediation has been requested, and that it is currently suspended while additional details are being worked out. Barbara Hamberg made a motion to enter Executive Session to discuss the above. Nancy von Meyer seconded. Unanimous. Barbara Hamberg made a motion to exit the Executive Session and return to the Special Called Meeting. Lyn Merchant seconded. Unanimous. No decisions were made while in Executive Session. 2) MOTION(S)/VOTE(S) FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION IF NEEDED Nancy von Meyer made a motion to allow the Mayor to execute the severance agreement for the Town Administrator, in substantially the same form as discussed. Jeff Van Drie seconded. Unanimous. 3) WORK SESSION TO DISCUSS THE TOWN'S BUDGET FY 26/27 3.a BUDGET WORK SESSION Lyn Merchant left at 1:02 pm. Members of Council were tasked with gathering the following needs and plans. • Mayor Stokowski – meeting with Dr. DeHay at Tri-County on the Art District. • Councilwoman Lyn Merchant - research scanning documents and work with Councilwoman Nancy von Meyer on the recycling and bulk container plan. • Councilwoman Barbara Hamberg – Pendleton Volunteer Fire Department • Councilwoman Nancy von Meyer - recycling and bulk container elimination/alteration plan. • Councilman Jeff Van Drie – Pendleton Recreation Association and work with Councilwoman Nancy von Meyer on looking at recreation in a broader scope. Council will schedule another budget Called Meeting after May’s Town Council meeting and budget Public Hearing. 4) MOTION(S)/VOTE(S) FROM WORK SESSION IF NEEDED N/A PENDLETON TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL CALLED MEETING 04/29/26 1  5) ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, at 1:30 pm, Nancy von Meyer made a motion to adjourn.
