City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Committee on Finance of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 190509 An Ordinance amending Chapter 19-200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “City Funds - Deposits, Investments, Disbursements”, by revising the list of City depositories; under certain terms and conditions. 190616 An Ordinance amending Title 19 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “FINANCE, TAXES AND COLLECTIONS,” by adding three new definitions to Section 19-1501 and adding a new Section 19-1507, entitled “Student Debt Tax Credit”; all under certain terms and conditions. 190706 An Ordinance authorizing the issuance from time to time of one or more series of general obligation bonds to provide funds to refund certain outstanding general obligation bonds of The City of Philadelphia; authorizing the Mayor, City Controller and City Solicitor or a majority of them to sell the bonds at public or private negotiated sale; setting forth the purposes for which the proceeds of the bonds will be expended; providing for the maturities and for other terms and conditions and for the form of the bonds; providing that bonds may be redeemable prior to maturity; providing sinking funds for the bonds and for appropriations to the Sinking Fund Commission for the payment thereof; authorizing agreements to provide credit enhancement or payment or liquidity sources for the bonds and certain other actions. 180609 Resolution authorizing the City Council Committee on Finance to hold public hearings on a potential "Food Diversion Tax Credit" in the City of Philadelphia. 190663 Resolution authorizing the City Council Committee on Finance to hold hearings to investigate the possibility of starting a fund to help decrease the cost burden on families living in historic districts who have additional expenses associated with maintaining their properties as required by the historic preservation guidelines. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Finance, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
