City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Committee on Law and Government of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 190558 An Ordinance amending Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Fair Practices Ordinance: Protections Against Unlawful Discrimination,” by adding a new Section 9-1133, to require that institutions or organizations that serve youth adopt and make known policy guidelines providing for non-discriminatory treatment of transgender and gender non-conforming youth, under certain terms and conditions. 190559 An Ordinance amending Section 16-104 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Gender-Neutral Bathrooms,” to impose additional requirements regarding installation of gender-neutral bathrooms in City buildings; all under certain terms and conditions. 190608 An Ordinance amending Title 21 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Miscellaneous,” by adding a new Chapter 21-3100, entitled “Reporting of Settlements of Civil Actions,” to establish a system of quarterly reporting and evaluation of means to reduce future liability; all under certain terms and conditions. 190651 An Ordinance amending Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Fair Practices Ordinance: Protections Against Unlawful Discrimination,” by revising the definitions of gender identity and sexual orientation. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Law and Government, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
