City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Joint Committees on Public Safety and the Special Committee on Gun Violence Prevention of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 1:00 PM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 181110 Resolution authorizing the joint City Council Committees on Public Safety and the Special Committee on Gun Violence Prevention to hold public hearings examining the Administration’s anticipated reports on community based gun violence prevention programs and a comprehensive violence prevention strategy, in light of the escalating acts of gun violence in the City of Philadelphia, and to ensure that the City’s public safety budget reflects the priorities of these plans. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Joint Committees on Public Safety and the Special Committee on Gun Violence Prevention, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
