Technical Requirements and Description
Art reproductions will be displayed on the 5x5 posts at various locations along the Accessible Trail Loop in the Evergreen Woods
(part of the Portland Trails network).
SIGNAGE: The post will include a small sign with the name of the artist, title of work, construction materials, and dates the
installation will be available. The sign will also have the Portland Trails (PT) and the Portland Museum of Art (PMA) logos, the logo
of our business sponsor (Evergreen Credit Union), and a QR code to find out more information about the artwork.
POSITION: Artwork will be slightly off the trail and will not impede any pedestrian or bicycle traffic. Art reproductions will be printed
by the PMA. Portland Trails and PMA will work together on building and installing the display posts and art.
Maintenance and Safety
Installation will include hand-digging a 2 ft deep hole to put each of the five posts in. Maintenance will be the responsibility of
Portland Museum of Art and Portland Trails, including replacements in case of damage or vandalism.
This is part of an annual series from the Portland Museum of Art. Both organizations have extensive experience in installing,
maintaining, and removing artwork on trails.
