CONSENT AGENDA A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, to do a consent agenda. RES17-2409 A Resolution Establishing a Development Security for the Public, Stormwater and Erosion Control Improvements at the Thorntons Fuel Center located at the Gateway Site on IL 53 at Joliet Road (PZC#17-018) This Resolution was Approved. 5. MAYOR'S REPORT Condolences to Linda Derusha on the passing of her nephew. Condolences to the family of Leroy Brown who passed away today. Thanks to all who attended our Halloween Fest this past Friday. Join us for the Costumes and Cocktails event this Saturday at Highpoint. Lewis University will be hosting a Pumpkin Pitch and Shred Event on November 4th from 9:00-12:00. Join us for our Veteran’s Day Service on November 11th at 10:00 a.m. I will be a member of AARP’s Legislative Panel on November 13th at Prairie Bluff. Village Offices will be closed on November 10th in observance of Veteran’s Day. She looks forward to volunteering for the Village. Brandi Camp thanked the Board for this appointment and stated that she looks forward to serving on the Economic Development Commission. A motion was made by Trustee Richards, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, that this Motion be Approved. CLERK'S REPORT Congratulations to the Flag Football Superbowl winners. Welcome to the new commission members. Condolences to the family of Leroy Brown. 7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire Commission/Uptown Development The next Police and Fire Commission meeting is November 4th. Trustee Richards-Planning and Zoning/Zoning Board of Appeals/REMA The next Planning and Zoning meeting will be held on November 14th. Thanks to REMA for their hard work. They are out tonight on New Ave for a problem out there. Avoid New Ave as it is closed. Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation A Recreation update was given. Trustee Griffin-EDC/Veteran's The EDC will meet on November 16th. The Veteran's Commission will be attending the Veteran's Day Ceremony. On Thursday, November 9th we will have a fundraiser at Culvers. Mayor Noak thanked State Representative Natalie Manley and State Senator Biss who conducted a press conference in Romeoville today to announce their Silver Search Program. This is an amber alert for patients with Alzheimers or dementia. Also, he was honored to be a panelist for the Real Estate Journal's Industrial and Transportation Conference. The decorative lighting is going up. This is a nice project. He thanked Robinson Engineering, Lyn Corraro from Metra, and Nathan Darga who worked so hard to get the Metra Station project completed. 9. NEW BUSINESS A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, to do a consent agenda for all New Business excluding ORD17-1416 and with RES17-2413 pending final attorney review. ORD17-1416 An Ordinance Amending Sections 112A.01 and 112A.06 of the Village Code of Ordinances (Chapter 112A-Raffles) This Ordinance was Removed From Consideration. RES17-2406 A Resolution Waiving the Public Bidding Process and Authorizing a Contract for the Purchase of One (1) New Police Department Van This Resolution was Approved. RES17-2412 A Resolution Approving a Development Agreement with ONEOK North System, L.L.C. This Resolution was Approved. RES17-2413 A Resolution Authorizing a Contract with Passport Parking Inc.for Parking Solutions at the New Metra Station This Resolution was Approved. RES17-2414 A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing a Contract with J. Hassert Landscaping-Metra Station This Resolution was Approved. 10. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Palmiter- Condolences to the family of Leroy Brown and Charlie Tapper. Welcome to our new commissioners. The Halloween event was great. Remember Harvest Saturday. Congratulations to our youth football groups. Thanks to the coaches as well. Trustee Griffin- Condolences to Leroy Brown's family. The Metra Station is finally on the map. Congratulations to all who worked to get this done. Congratulations to the youth football teams. Harvest Saturday is a wonderful volunteer opportunity. Maintaining our infrastructure is so important, just look at what Puerto Rico is going through. Trustee Clancy- Condolences to the Tapper and Brown families. Congratulations to the Flag Football Superbowl winners and to the other teams as well. Harvest Saturday helps the people in your hometown.
