1. CALL TO ORDER
Present 6- Trustee Jose Chavez, Trustee Ken Griffin, Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A.

Rich Strom-
He is here tonight with signage issues. In Poplar Ridge there is a series of
yield signs. The cars coming off of Avalon are not heeding the yield signs.
Also, on Belmont off of Taylor Rd there needs to be no truck traffic signs.
We need to start increasing the fees to the truckers who don't follow the
signs. Also, speeding issues have increased over the years. Something
needs to be done about this. We cannot give any lead way on this. Cars
are going 35 or faster on the roads. We have to start cracking down on
speeders.

5. MAYOR'S REPORT
Congratulations to all of the election winners and to all those who
participated.
Condolences to Lynn Corrao on the passing of her husband.
Condolences to Linda San Filipo and Dan Drdak on the passing of
their mothers.
Congratulations to Reza’s, Checker’s and Elite Staffing on their
ribbon cuttings.
Thanks to all who attended the Night out with the Fire Department.
Thanks to all who attended the Halloween Fest, there was a record
turnout for the event.
Thanks to all who attended the Costume and Cocktails event.
Join us for our Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Sunday, November
11th at 10:00 at the Veterans Memorial Garden.
Village offices will be closed on November 12th in honor of
Veteran’s Day.
The American Legion will be hosting a Vet’s Appreciation Dinner on
November 17th at the Athletic and Event Center.

Harvest Saturday is November 17th.
There will not be a meeting on November 21st.
Village offices will be closed on November 22nd and 23rd in
observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Doc Watson’s will be holding their ribbon cutting on November
28th and Romeoville Toyota will be holding their ribbon cutting on
December 4th.

6. CLERK'S REPORT
Congratulations to the Flag Football winners.
Congratulations to the new firefighter/paramedic and new Leiutenant.
The Community Service Council met on October 16th and the next meeting
is November 20th. They are in the process of expanding their offices.
The Valley View Education Enrichment Foundation met on November 1st.
The next meeting will be November 29th. The foundation raises funds for
enrichment activities for teachers in the school district. The theme for this
year's dinner is derby.
Thanks to the Historical Society for all that they do for the Village.
7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS

Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire Commission/Uptown Development.
Fire and Police held their firefighter test on October 27th. The next meeting
will be November 13th.
Trustee Richards-Planning and Zoning/Zoning Board of Appeals/REMA
Planning and Zoning will be meeting on November 13th. U-Haul and
Ramco Concept Plans are on the agenda as well as a final development
plan for the Pal Group.
Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation
Beautification held their annual awards banquet. Thanks to all of the
winners.
A Recreation update was given.
Trustee Griffin-Veteran's Commission/EDC
The Veteran's Commission thanks all who supported them on Poppy Days.
Join us for our Veteran's Day Service.
Trustee Chavez-Youth Outreach/Green Team/VorTv
The Youth Outreach Commission had a great turnout for their fundraiser.
They raised over $2600.00. The next meeting will be December 3rd.
8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
Chief Turvey and Chief Adams are attending the Laraway Road Executive
Board meeting tonight.
The Recreation Staff did a fantastic job with the Halloween Fest.
Public Works is gearing up for the snow season.

It was nice to see the Historical Society. Their hours will be Tuesdays from
6-8, Wednesdays from 1-4 and every third Saturday from 1-4.

Thanks to our Public Works retirees: Jim Wallace, Phil Simpson and Dale
Willis.
Congratulations to the Fire Department on their swearing ins today.
