CONSENT AGENDA A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to do a consent agenda. RES19-2706 A Resolution Approving a Final Plat of Subdivision for Romeoville Industrial Center Resubdivision No. 1 This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2722 A Resolution Declaring Surplus Property And Authorizing The Disposition Of Surplus Property (Vehicle) This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2723 A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Approve the Purchase and Installation of Upgrades for the Lakewood North Lift Station This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2724 A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Utilize Existing Street Rehabilitation Contracts for the Rehabilitation of South Pinnacle Drive This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2726 A Resolution authorizing the waiving of bids for the purchase of Genesis E-Force battery operated extrication tools from EMC (Equipment Management Company) of Channahon, Illinois This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2727 A Resoluton Authorizing a Contract with INAP Disaster Recovery Storage - Pending Final Attorney Review This Resolution was Approved. 5. MAYOR'S REPORT Best wishes to Joe Szabo who has retired from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), and welcome to the new director Erin Aleman. Senior Star at Weber Place Memory Care is celebrating their 10-year anniversary. Join us for our Independence Day celebration on July 3rd. The Hot Wheels Legends tour will be hosting an event at Wal-Mart on July 13th. There will not be a Board meeting on July 3rd. Village offices will be closed on July 4th. The Lewis University Airport is one of the five busiest airports in the State of Illinois and the only one without a control tower. The primary goal of this tower is safety. This was included in the new capital bill. Have a safe and happy 4th of July. 6. CLERK'S REPORT The Community Service Council met last night. The Valley View Enrichment Foundation will be meeting soon. Happy and safe 4th of July. 7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire Commission/Uptown Square There were 2 promotions-Mike Spradau for Batallion Chief and Andrew Clow for Lieutenant. The next meeeting is July 19th. Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation The Beautification Commission is out looking for homes for the Home of the Month awards. A Recreation update was given. Trustee Griffin-EDC/Veteran's Commission EDC met on June 6th. On September 21st there will be an aviation event at the airport. The Veteran's Commission will be meeting on July 16th. Trustee Palmiter-Finance/Special Events/Humane Society The next Special Events meeting will be July 16th. A Finance update was given. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT The Police Department will be actively enforcing the fireworks ordinances. RomeoFest is just around the corner. 9. NEW BUSINESS ORD19-1577 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 80 " Traffic Schedules" Schedule IX, of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances Pertaining to Speed Restrictions A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Clancy, that this Ordinance be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Trustee Chavez, Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Absent: 1- Trustee Richards Non-voting: 1- Mayor Noak RES19-2725 A Resolution Authorizing a Development Agreement with Harvest C Romeoville B1, LLC This Resolution was Removed From Consideration. 10. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Chavez- The apartment presentation was good. He is glad to see it is only 100 units. Join us on Sunday for the Sunday Symphony. Rockin the Ville will be Thursday, June 27th. Join us for July 3rd. The At Your Door Program has started as of May 1st. This is a great program. Safe and happy 4th of July. Trustee Palmiter- Safe and happy 4th of July, be considerate of others.
