be to do a consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:

and Trustee Aguirre
Non-voting: 1- Mayor Noak
Approval of the Consent Agenda
A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, to approve

Authorizing the Purchase of Bullet Resistant Glass Window
Panes
This Resolution was Approved.
RES19-2789 A Resolution Reducing the Development Security for the
Subdivision Improvements proposed at the Airport Logistics
Center (Duke Realty) (PZC#17-009).

Condolences to the family of Geri Scharnagle. We lost one of our
family and she will be missed by a lot of people.
Congratulations to the Romeoville Credit Union and to Romeoville
Community Preschool who celebrated their 50th anniversaries last
Saturday.
I had the pleasure of speaking with the Boy Scouts last week.
I attended the ground breaking for Crate and Barrel yesterday.
This is a $75 million investment in our community.
The grand opening for the Lewis Incubator will be held tomorrow
at 3:00.
Join us for the Fire Prevention Night Out with the Fireman on
Friday at the Athletic and Event Center from 6:00-9:00.
Representative Connor will be holding his Senior Celebration on
Friday from 9:00-12:00 at the Recreation Center.
The O’Hara Woods Community Day will be held on Saturday from
9:00-12:00.
The American Legion Post 52 will be holding a Memorial Service on
Sunday, October 6th at 2:00 at the Doc McCartan Memorial
Gardens.
Rasmussen will be holding a 10-year anniversary celebration on
October 8th at 4:00.
St Andrew will be hosting a Trunk or Treat and Touch a Truck event
on October 12th at 3:00.
Happy Birthday to Steve Gulden.
19-2674 Proclamation-Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Reverand Harris thanked the Village for this proclamation. He invited
everyone to come out on October 10th at the Levy Center from 5:30-8:00
for the victory celebration as it is a celebration for the victims who have
been through it and survived. The food is sponsored by Fat Ricky's. This is
a free event.
A motion was made by Trustee Richards, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, that this
Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by the following vote:

Chief Adams invited everyone out to the Open House on October 4th at the
Athletic and Event Center from 5:00-8:00.
A motion was made by Trustee Clancy, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, that this
Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by the following vote:

19-2670 Appointment of Student Planning and Zoning Commission
Member
Ms. Snider stated that she is a senior at Romeoville High School and she
is honored to be on the commission.
A motion was made by Trustee Richards, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, that this
Appointment be Accepted. The motion carried by the following vote:

6. CLERK'S REPORT
Congratulations to the Senior Olympians and the Founders Day Parade
winners.
The Valley View Enrichment Foundation met last Thursday. The focus was
on the annual dinner and other fundraising options.
The Community Service Council will be meeting on October 15th.
Welcome to our new Student Planning and Zoning member.

7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS
Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire/Uptown
The next Fire and Police Commission meeting will be held on October 8th
at 6:30. The Fire Department eligibility test will be held on October 12th at
RHS. The Police test will be October 26th also at the high school.
Trustee Richards-Planning and Zoning/Zoning Board of Appeals/REMA
Planning and Zoning will be meeting October 8th. There are three things
on the agenda.
Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation
The winners have been chosen for the beautification contest. There are so
many beautiful homes in the Village.
A Recreation update was given.

Trustee Griffin-EDC/Veterans Commission
The Veterans Commission will be offering banners for next year. The
information on how to order them will be available later this year.
EDC will be meeting in December.
Trustee Palmiter-Special Events/Finance/Humane Society
The next Special Events meeting will be October 15th at the Recreation
Center.
Trustee Chavez-Youth Outreach/Vor-Tv
The Youth Outreach Commission will be holding their annual costume and
cocktail event on November 2nd at the Highpoint Community Center.
8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
Thanks to all for the birthday wishes.
The theme when talking about Geri Scharnagle was don't take today for
granted, tomorrow is never promised. Prayers and thoughts are with Geri's
family.
9. NEW BUSINESS
RES19-2795 A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing a Contract with
Johler Demolition for the Demolition of 756 Independence
A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that this
Resolution be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:
