CALL TO ORDER Roll Call Present 5- Trustee Linda Palmiter, Trustee Ken Griffin, Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., and Trustee Lourdes Aguirre Absent 2- Trustee Jose Chavez, and Mayor John Noak 2. POSTING OF COLORS, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. PETITIONS FROM THE PUBLIC William Herzog- Has been in the Village a long time. Seen a great deal of change. Has a problem with code enforcement. He has been told by contractors that they do not want to work in Romeoville. He proceeded to give a history of his problem. At the 5 minute mark , he was asked to stop as he went over his alloted 5 minutes. 4. CONSENT AGENDA A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Griffin, that this be to do a consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Absent: 2- Trustee Chavez, and Mayor Noak Approval of the Consent Agenda A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Clancy, to approve the Consent Agenda. RES19-2798 A Resolution Accepting the Public Improvements - Springs at Weber Road This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2799 A Resolution for the Participation in the State Bid Contract for the Supplying of Bulk Road Salt for the 2019/2020 Fiscal Year This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2800 A Resolution for Approval of the ComEd Electric Facilities Service Agreement for the Supplying of Electricity to the New Public Works Department Facilities This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2801 A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing the Purchase of Computers and Related Equipment for the Annual Computer Replacement Program from the GAD Group - 3 proposals received This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2802 A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing an Agreement with Badger Meter This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2803 A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing the Purchase of Wayfinding Signage from Traffic Control & Protection Inc. This Resolution was Approved. 5. MAYOR'S REPORT The Knights of Columbus are having their Chili Cookoff this Saturday. This is for a great cause. There are a number of Halloween events coming up. Join us for HalloweenFest on October 25th. Costumes and Cocktails will be held on November 2nd at the Friendship Center at Highpoint. This is a very fun night. PH19-2308 A Public Hearing Regarding an Amendment to a Tax Increment Village of Romeoville Page 2 Printed on 11/14/2019 Village Board Meeting Minutes October 16, 2019 Allocation Finance District Redevelopment Plan and Project and the Extension of Tax Increment Allocation Financing for the Village of Romeoville Downtown Tax Increment Allocation District Bob Rychlicki gave a brief overview of the amendment. A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to open the public hearing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Absent: 2- Trustee Chavez, and Mayor Noak A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to close the public hearing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Absent: 2- Trustee Chavez, and Mayor Noak 6. CLERK'S REPORT The Community Service Council met last night. Valley View Enrichment Foundation will meet next Thursday. 7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS None 8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT Mayor Noak and Josh Potter are at a conference on retail. Snow will be coming-we are preparing for this. 9. NEW BUSINESS 10. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Palmiter- Condolences to the family of Steve Dylik. Trustee Clancy- Congratulations to the Beautification award winners. A Recreation update was given. Condolences to the Dylik family. Trustee Aguirre- Thanks to our Fire Department for their Fire Prevention event. Condolences to the Dylik family.
