RES19-2807 A Resolution Waiving the Public Bidding Process and Authorizing a Contract for the Purchase of One (1) Drone with Accessories This Resolution was Approved. This Resolution was Approved. RES19-2809 A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Easement Agreement (Pinnacle Drive--LaFarge North America, Inc., a Maryland Corporation) This Resolution was Approved. 5. MAYOR'S REPORT Condolences to Kevin McHale on the passing of his mother. Condolences to the family of Darlene Rossick. Thanks to all who came out for our Halloween Fest. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers. I was able to participate in several Halloween activities this month. Congratulations to Jerry Capps who received Congressman Lipinski’s Senior Award. Thanks to all who attended the Costumes and Cocktails event. Join us for our Veterans Day Service on Monday, November 11th at 10:00 a.m. The American Legion and Veterans Commission will be hosting a Veteran’s luncheon on November 16th at the Highpoint Friendship Center from 1-3. The Governor announced the new interchange project at Airport/Lockport Rd. Village Offices will be closed on November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. PH19-2309 Public Hearing-Boundary Agreement between the Villages of Romeoville and Woodridge A motion was made by Trustee Chavez, seconded by Trustee Griffin, to open the public hearing . CLERK'S REPORT The Community Service Council is being recognized for an ACE Award next Thursday. The Valley View Enrichment Foundation has announced that the 2019/2020 Grant Application cycle is now open. Applications are due by February 1st. The winners will be announced at the Foundation Dinner. Congratulations to the Flag Football teams. Congratulations to Jerry Capps. 7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS None 8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT This meeting is not being televised live but it will be replayed several times. Condolences to Kevin McHale and his family. 9. NEW BUSINESS ORD19-1597 An Ordinance Approving a Special Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development - Final Development Plan for Mongo’s Signage at 1101 N. Independence Blvd. A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, that this Ordinance be Tabled until November 20, 2019. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Trustee Chavez, Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Non-voting: 1- Mayor Noak ORD19-1601 An Ordinance Authorizing a Boundary Line Agreement between the Village of Romeoville and the Village of Woodridge A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Clancy, that this Ordinance be Tabled until November 20, 2019. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Chavez- Many thanks to Rick Sproules for running a great Flag Football Program. He does a great job. The Costumes and Cocktails fundraiser went well. The Trivia Challenge is scheduled for April 3rd at Fat Ricky's starting at 6:30 p.m. The next Youth Outreach Commission meeting is December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Great to see the Governor and local representatives come out for the press conference. Our last yard waste pickup will be the end of November. Please follow the guidelines for branch pick up. Congratulations to Jerry Capps. Trustee Palmiter- Congratulations to our Flag Football Teams. Kudos to the coaches and parents. Congratulations to Jerry Capps. Condolences to John Allen and Kevin McHale. Trustee Griffin- Condolences to the McHale Family and to Darlene Rossick's family.
