Village Board - Workshop Meeting Village Board - Workshop Meeting Meeting Minutes August 7, 2019 1. CALL TO ORDER-Roll Call Present 5- Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., Mayor John Noak, Trustee Lourdes Aguirre, and Trustee Ken Griffin Absent 2- Trustee Jose Chavez, and Trustee Linda Palmiter 2. POSTING OF COLORS-PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION RES19-2737 A Resolution Authorizing the Application of an OSLAD Grant for Project Lake Strini Ms. Rajzer reported that the Village will be applying for an OSLAD Grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for 50% funding for project Lake Strini. The project will include lengthening the path and improving the vegetation and fish habitat. This is to authorize the application. Mayor Noak stated that this is an opportunity to receive a grant to help with this project. RES19-2740 A Resolution Authorizing an Amusements Contract (All Around Amusement, Inc.—Romeofest) Mr. Vogel reported that this approves an agreement with All Around Amusements to provide carnival rides and midway games/attractions in connection with the 2020 RomeoFest. The contract is for RomeoFest 2020 only. The contract is substantially the same as prior contracts with All Around Amusements with some minor language changes. Trustee Griffin stated that this will put to rest the future of RomeoFest. Mayor Noak added that the reason it is only one year is that we may adjust dates in the future. 4.
