Ordinance: Northpoint Small Area Plan ~ 2:15 p.m. 45 min. The Council will receive a briefing about an ordinance that would adopt the Northpoint Small Area Plan. The Northpoint Small Area Plan is a land use plan for the land that is located between the Salt Lake City International Airport and the northern boundary of the City along the 2200 West corridor. The updated plan will provide guidance on existing and anticipated development in the area, as well as annexation-related issues. As part of the plan update, the Salt Lake City Major Streets Plan will be amended to reflect recommended roadway alignments. Ordinance: Glendale Regional Park Plan ~ 3:00 p.m. 40 min The Council will receive a briefing about an ordinance that would adopt the Glendale Regional Park Plan to be part of the City’s general plan as a specific plan found in the Westside Master Plan. The Public Lands Department has been working with a consultant, Design Workshop, to develop a plan to guide development of the 17-acre Glendale Regional Park site, formerly known as Raging Waters. The Council will receive a briefing about an ordinance that would approve the disbursement of local business assistance grant awards from the City’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fiscal recovery funds. A business needs to show an economic hardship caused by the pandemic and meet other federal requirements to be eligible for these ARPA grants. Resolution: Authorizing Execution of an Interlocal Agreement ~ 4:40 p.m. to Transfer a MITS Vehicle to West Valley City 15 min. The Council will receive a briefing about a resolution that would authorize the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and West Valley City regarding the transfer of ownership of a tactical vehicle (MITS) from Salt Lake City Corporation to West Valley City. As part of the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) grant, funds were allocated to Salt Lake City to purchase and operate several Mobile Interoperable Tactical Solution Vehicles (“MITS Vehicle”) for use in emergencies and other operations throughout the Wasatch Front urban area and the State of Utah. Tentative Closed Session - - The Council will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session.
