The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will hold its regular meeting in the 100
W. Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205, City Tower Large Conference Room
10.W1003 beginning at 9:00 AM. Once convened, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service
Commission will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.
Once a quorum is established, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission shall
consider the following:
Approval of Minutes
1. Approval of the minutes from the Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission
meeting on April 8, 2024.
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items
2. Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval to administer a Probationary Firefighter
Examination. The twohour written examination will be given at 9:00 AM on June 7, 2024, at the
Fire Training Academy, 300 S. Callaghan Road, San Antonio, Texas 78227. The eligibility list will
be valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of approval or until the list has been exhausted.
3. Notice of a Fire Engineer B Examination. This twohour written examination will be administered
at 9:00 AM on July 5, 2024, for Fire Fighter David Espinosa who was on military leave on
February 12, 2024, when the original exam was administered. The exam will be held at City
Tower, 100 W. Houston Street, 10th Floor, San Antonio, Texas 78205.
4. Review, discussion, and possible action regarding SAPD applicants appeal to beginning positions.
a. Seth Tabor – Rule IX 13 – Use of Illicit Substances – Permanently Unsuitable
b. Kimberley Herrera – Rule IX 14i– Criminal Activity – Permanently Unsuitable
c. Omar Palmerin – Rule IX 9 – Employment History – Eligible to reapply 6/7/2025
d. Gerardo Zacarias – Rule IX 13a1 and 13a2 – Use of Illicit Substances – Permanently
Unsuitable
e. Chakkrin Ngamsomjanx – Rule IX 13f4 – Use of Illicit Substances – Permanently Unsuitable
