The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting at the Alamo Regional Security Operations
Center (ARSOC) beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the
following items no sooner than the designated times.
Members of the public can comment or speak on items on the agenda. Public comment will be
scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all
comments will be heard at the same time. To sign up to speak visit www.saspeakup.com. Click on

CONSENT AGENDA
5. Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department grant application to the Law
Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act Program for funds from the U.S. Department of
Justice (DOJ), Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) to fund services
surrounding officer emotional and mental health, suicide prevention, stress reduction, and police
officer family assistance in the amount not to exceed $175,000.00. [Maria Villagómez, Deputy

6. Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department grant continuance application to
the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) for funds from the Regional Auto
Crimes Team Project to fund innovative enforcement and theft prevention techniques in the amount
of $1,354,710.00. [Maria Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; William P. McManus, Chief of
Police]
Executive Session
At any time during the meeting, the Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the
City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government
Code.
