City of San Antonio AGENDA SA Ready to Work Advisory Board Port San Antonio 927 Billy Mitchell Blvd Ste Tuesday, November 19, 2024 1:00 PM 102 San Antonio TX 78226 The SA Ready to Work Advisory Board will hold its regular meeting in the Port San Antonio 927 Billy Mitchell Blvd Ste 102 San Antonio TX 78226 beginning at 1:00 PM. Once convened, the SA Ready to Work Advisory Board will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times. Members of the public can comment on items on the agenda. Questions relating to these rules may be directed to the Office of the City Clerk at (210) 207­7253 Once a quorum is established, the SA Ready to Work Advisory Board shall consider the following: Approval of Minutes 1. Approval of the minutes from the SA Ready to Work Advisory Board meeting on September 17, 2024 Public Comments 1. SA Ready to Work Program Overview Subject: Presentation of recent SA Ready to Work programmatic developments and discussion of forthcoming initiatives. Summary: WDO staff will present the latest programmatic updates to the Board members, and partner agency staff will report out on programmatic improvements made since the last Advisory Board meeting. Background Information: WDO staff reports out to the Board and Subcommittees at each meeting on participant outcomes and prime agency performance to update them on the program’s progress. Issue: By providing up­to­date program information to the Board members on a regular basis, they can be better equipped to provide program input and to speak to the progress of the program when representing Ready to Work in the public. Background Information: The Community Outreach Subcommittee was created to provide recommendations to the Advisory Board for creating targeted, grassroots marketing strategies for SA: Ready to Work. The Employer Engagement Subcommittee was created to foster collaboration between local employers and the SA: Ready to Work program. Issue: This item will inform the Advisory Board on the work of the Subcommittees. 8.
